Mammut

Mammut is a meeting room chair that challenges the conventional formal look and still keeps the exclusive feel. I believe a less strict atmosphere in the meeting room makes for better conversation and experience.

I decided to do this through Norwegian design traditions and the use of Ash wood. Ash has a playful and active texture, which further distances the chair from the strict mood of traditional meeting rooms. Ash is also a strong and flexible material that ensures a comfortable seating for longer periods of time.

In this process i focused on prototyping and user testing to create a chair that would fit a wide variety of people for hours.
